OR Circulator Staff Nurse

We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as an OR Circulator in our fast-paced, high-volume orthopaedic ambulatory surgery center. This role is central to ensuring patient safety, smooth surgical flow, and effective communication between the surgical team and support services throughout the perioperative process.

• →Prepare and verify the operating room setup specific to orthopaedic procedures
• →Coordinate surgical case flow and ensure all necessary instruments, implants, and equipment are available and functioning
• →Conduct pre-op patient verification and consent checks
• →Serve as patient advocate intraoperatively, monitoring safety, comfort, and sterility
• →Support the surgical team by managing supplies, documentation, and communication
• →Handle specimens accurately and ensure proper labeling and transfer
• →Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards
• →Collaborate closely with PACU, sterile processing, and supply chain teams

• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina
• BLS certification (PALS and ACLS preferred)
• Minimum 1–2 years of circulating experience in an OR setting; orthopaedic surgery experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with ambulatory surgery workflows, EMR systems, and sterilization protocols
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
• Team-oriented attitude with a calm, professional presence under pressure
