Rasmussen University is seeking a Workforce Field Representative to plan, coordinate, and execute high-impact career and workforce-related events that connect students, alumni, employers, and community stakeholders. This role is responsible for delivering residential alliance–facing recruitment and hiring events, in-person career fairs, on campus tabling and alumni engagement programming both on campus and within the broader community.

The Workforce Field Representative works cross-functionally with Workforce Solutions, Career Services, Alumni Relations, Campus Leadership, and Corporate Marketing to ensure events are strategically aligned, professionally executed, and measurable in impact. This position plays a critical role in strengthening employer relationships, increasing student and alumni engagement, and supporting workforce development initiatives. Successful individuals may have the opportunity to advance into an Account Manager role. 

Responsibilities

  • Support workforce and alliance strategies by executing event-based opportunities that strengthen relationships and expand employer engagement.
  • Maintain awareness of workforce trends, employer needs, and competitor activities to inform event design and outreach strategies.
  • Capture feedback and outcomes from events to support continuous improvement and strategic planning.
  • Document and share post-event insights, contacts, and identified opportunities to support account planning, follow-up outreach, and pipeline development.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute inquiry generating tabling events, alliance showcases, career fairs, and alumni engagement events, both in person and virtually.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for residential alliance–facing career fairs, ensuring alignment with employer workforce needs and student outcomes.
  • Manage event logistics including venue coordination, registration, vendor communication, materials, travel, and on-site execution.
  • Ensure events are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with University branding and engagement goals.
  • Collaborate with prospective employers, corporate alliances, alumni, and community organizations to design meaningful engagement opportunities.
  • Support alumni engagement initiatives by coordinating networking events, panels, career workshops, and alliance events to celebrate alumni.
  • Facilitate employment tracking of alumni outcomes to support programmatic accreditation expectations.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to employers, alumni, and alliances, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Create and manage event timelines, priorities, and deliverables; adjust plans as needed to meet changing needs.
  • Utilize Customer Management systems to document event activity, student/alumni communication, alliance interactions, attendance, and outcomes.
  • Adhere to all university policies, including information security and data privacy standards.
  • Comply with U.S. Department of Education Program Integrity Rules regarding Title IV institutions and incentive compensation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • 1 year of sales experience preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to interact professionally with team members, stakeholders both physically and virtually.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Sets and maintains high performance standards for self that support the overall strategic plan and vision of the department and holds self-accountable for achieving results.
  • Ability to work multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines independently with minimal direction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
      • Ability to travel in and out of state up to 75% of the time.
