About the Role

As an Event Sales Manager, you will drive corporate and private event sales across Arts Centre Melbourne's diverse event venues. You will identify new business opportunities, nurture existing client relationships and convert enquiries into successful events through proactive sales, tailored proposals and effective negotiations. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will deliver a seamless client experience while achieving sales targets, supporting business growth and representing Arts Centre Melbourne at industry events and networking opportunities.

 

Requirements

  • Qualification in Event Management, Business or relevant experience
  • Experience in event, hospitality or venue sales
  • Proven ability to generate revenue and achieve sales targets
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience preparing proposals, contracts and sales documentation
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting and revenue reporting
  • Knowledge of event operations and venue management
  • Experience using CRM or event management systems (Ungerboeck desirable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital business tools
  • Ability to analyse sales performance and market trends
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to attend client meetings, site inspections, trade shows and after-hours events
  • Valid working rights in Australia
  • Satisfactory National Police Check required
