- Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current or eligible practising certificate.
- Demonstrated competence in midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Effective communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritise workload and approach issues with creativity, flexibility and initiative.
- Commitment to consumer, client and family-centred care, with knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, codes and quality improvement.
