Our MGP model is recognised for its high levels of professional satisfaction and strong clinical support, allowing you to work to the full scope of your midwifery practice while delivering truly woman-centred care. Our Midwifery Group Practice offers you support and flexibility while meeting your work life balance.
About the Role
~1 min readAs an MGP Midwife, you will provide continuity of care across the entire maternity journey, including:
- Antenatal care and clinics from 12–14 weeks
- Intrapartum care
- Postnatal care in hospital and at home
- Collaborative multidisciplinary clinics
- Lactation support
- Childbirth and parenting education
This role supports autonomous practice while working within a collaborative, progressive, and supportive multidisciplinary environment.
- Clare – the heart of South Australia’s renowned Clare Valley, offering a relaxed lifestyle surrounded by world-class wineries, scenic landscapes, and a strong sense of community
- Crystal Brook – A thriving agricultural hub and gateway to the Flinders Ranges, located 200 km north of Adelaide. Close to Bowman Park and the iconic Heysen Trail.
- Jamestown – A historic town nestled along Belalie Creek, near the Southern Flinders Ranges and Bundaleer Forest, Australia’s oldest plantation forest.
- Port Pirie – A vibrant regional city on the Spencer Gulf, close to the Flinders Ranges, offering cafés, markets, arts, and strong community connections.
- Wallaroo – A popular coastal town just 160 km north of Adelaide, famous for its beaches, fishing, diving, and award-winning tourism appeal.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Recent midwifery practice across the full maternity continuum
- Strong clinical knowledge within woman-centred continuity models
- Well-developed communication, leadership, and clinical escalation skills
- Experience in quality improvement and risk management
- Digital capability to support safe, effective patient care
