Part-Time Youth Care Worker
Join Our Dynamic Rite of Passage Team as a Part-Time Youth Care Worker at Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, AZ, a community rooted in a rich agricultural history and known for cultivating growth both in its fields and in the lives of youth by fostering positive change and empowerment. ✨
Canyon State Academy is located on a scenic 180-acre campus featuring a farm, student housing for 300+ youth, a thrift store, café, barbershop, and church open to the community. Our campus also includes a fully equipped weight room, football stadium, and athletic center with a gymnasium, padded wrestling room, and more.
Pay
$17.91 per hour
$1,000 sign-on bonus
Part-Time Schedule
This is a permanent part-time position working approximately 24 hours per week on the C-Shift.
The specific days and hours of the shift will be determined based on program needs and may be subject to change.
What You'll Do

Supervise a group of youth in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.

Ensure the safety and well-being of students while maintaining program expectations.

Conduct routine room checks and monitor student activities throughout your shift.

Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, recreation, bedtime, and morning wake-up.

Build positive relationships by serving as a mentor and role model.

Respond calmly and professionally to challenging behaviors using appropriate de-escalation techniques.

Collaborate with your team to provide consistent care and support for each student.

Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintain professional boundaries while creating a positive and supportive environment for youth.
Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or GED required.

Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical examination, and TB test.

Ability to work the assigned C-Shift schedule and fulfill approximately 24 hours per week.
