As a Quality Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of RLDatix applications that support critical healthcare workflows. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans using both manual and automated methods, validate new features throughout the sprint, identify defects, maintain automation coverage, and support release readiness across a fast-moving product environment.
This role is part of a Quality Engineering team that supports multiple applications on a regular release cycle. You’ll balance manual testing with automation, contribute to regression efforts, and use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, test coverage, and quality outcomes, while growing toward deeper technical contribution over time.
-
Test development items throughout each sprint, plan and execute manual and automated regression testing before releases, and validate new features against functional requirements, user workflows, and customer expectations
-
Document defects clearly, partner with developers to resolve issues, verify fixes through release, and participate in release readiness activities including regression cycles, code-freeze validation, and release-night support when needed
-
Create, maintain, and expand automated tests using Playwright, validate JSON payloads, API requests and responses, and error handling, and use MySQL and MS SQL Server queries to troubleshoot issues and validate data
-
Use AI tools responsibly to support test case creation, test maintenance, and automation productivity, while reviewing and validating AI-assisted outputs for accuracy and alignment with product behavior
-
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other quality engineers, provide user support and case management as needed, and communicate testing status, risks, blockers, and defects clearly
-
Ideally 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, software testing, software development, or related software delivery roles, with strong hands-on proficiency in Playwright
-
A working understanding of manual and automated testing practices, including regression testing, functional testing, unit-level concepts, and API-level testing, with experience designing, executing, and maintaining test cases and test plans
-
The ability to use SQL queries, preferably MySQL and/or MS SQL Server, to troubleshoot and validate application behavior, and to document defects clearly and validate fixes through the release lifecycle
-
A strong commitment to documentation, clean test design, and maintainable testing practices, with the ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and support teams
-
Ability to commute to our Lehi, Utah office four days a week, with remote Wednesdays
-
Sincere interest in building software that improves healthcare outcomes
-
Familiar with AI-assisted development or test automation workflows
-
Nice to have: Python, React or front-end development, Selenium or other automation frameworks, API testing tools such as Postman, and healthcare or regulated software experience.
By enabling flexibility in how we work and prioritizing employee wellness, we empower our team to do and be their best. This is an in-office role based in Lehi, Utah, with remote Wednesdays.
