This position will serve as a Teacher of Record on our Humanities team. We are seeking a flexible Educator who is comfortable supporting students across multiple elementary grade levels based on the evolving needs of the school.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide continuity of instruction during scheduled parental leaves. While covering a leave, this Educator will serve as the Lead Teacher of Record, assume full responsibility for the classroom, and work closely with school leaders and fellow Educators to ensure students continue receiving consistent, high-quality instruction. During this school year, anticipated assignments include coverage for a Kindergarten parental leave and a third-grade parental leave. Between leave assignments, the Educator may provide instructional support across other grade levels or classrooms as needed.
Our elementary teachers are subject-matter experts who specialize in either Humanities or STEM. Every Rocketship school is supported by leaders who provide weekly coaching and real-time classroom feedback to help teachers continually strengthen their practice. This position reports to the Principal or Assistant Principal.
