We are seeking a Project Engineer to manage the design, planning, and execution of assigned projects, ensuring successful delivery within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The successful candidate will review production plans and performance to ensure targets are achieved, identify potential risks, and coordinate the development of alternative plans and project modifications to support operational efficiency and business objectives.

Support Senior Project Engineering activities and provide technical expertise.
- →
Review and analyze engineering designs to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- →
Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules and milestones.
- →
Establish and implement project control systems and procedures.
- →
Manage infrastructure projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- →
Oversee tailings management, inspections, monitoring, and compliance activities.
- →
Conduct scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies, including economic evaluations.
- →
Coordinate and supervise design implementation during project execution.
- →
Facilitate the development of project plans, specifications, and engineering solutions.
- →
Manage procurement activities for long lead-time materials and equipment.
- →
Administer contracts, monitor project costs, and prepare performance reports.
- →
Provide engineering support to operations and identify improvement opportunities.
- →
Participate in tendering processes, including technical evaluations and bid assessments.
- →
Lead project commissioning, handover activities, and stakeholder review meetings.
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Engineering (Mining, Civil, Geotechnical, or a related field).
Minimum of 3–5 years of engineering and project management experience.
Knowledge of tailings management, monitoring, and related industry practices.
At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Sound understanding of engineering, geology, and mining operations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MineSight, Global Mapper, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Understanding of geostatistical methods and orebody modeling.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced multicultural environment.
Willingness to work in both Brokopondo and Paramaribo on a rotational schedule of 14 days on duty followed by 7 days off.
A valid proof of good conduct (‘Bewijs van goedgedrag’) will be required upon selection.
