Role Summary
The Accountant supports the day-to-day financial operations of Rouya Consultancy and its affiliated entities, with a strong focus on accuracy, organisation, and system discipline. This role is critical in strengthening the foundation of Rouya’s financial operations by ensuring clean records, timely invoicing, structured documentation, and consistent follow-up. Working closely with the Senior Accountant, you will help streamline financial workflows and enhance visibility across all entities.


Key Responsibilities



1. Bookkeeping & Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records across all Rouya entities.
  • Process invoices, receipts, expenses, and journal entries with high accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain structured digital filing systems for all financial documents.
  • Ensure all transactions are properly coded and documented.


2. Accounts Receivable & Payable

  • Issue client invoices in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Actively follow up on outstanding payments and maintain AR trackers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and maintain clear communication records.
  • Process vendor invoices, prepare payment schedules, and ensure proper approvals are in place.
  • Track recurring expenses and maintain detailed vendor records.


3. Payroll & Compliance

  • Oversee payroll accuracy across all entities, including allowances and end-of-service calculations.
  • Liaise with the Junior Operations Manager to verify leave balances and related deductions.
  • Prepare payroll inputs and validate with leadership, ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws.
  • Support the Senior Accountant with external tax and compliance audits, ensuring adherence to UAE VAT and corporate reporting frameworks.


4. Financial Organisation & Reporting

  • Support the Senior Accountant in improving workflows, SOPs, and standardising reporting templates.
  • Assist in preparing basic monthly reports, reconciliations, and cash flow trackers.
  • Support the annual budgeting process by analysing variances and identifying trends to inform leadership decisions.
  • Prepare data and insights for leadership to support strategic scenario planning.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or junior accounting roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero (preferred) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • Strong familiarity with UAE VAT requirements, IFRS, and UAE financial regulations.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting and working in fast-paced, high-growth, project-driven environments.
