Senior Software Engineer (Python)

RYZ Labs is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our client’s teams, who's mission is to help developers build software quickly and painlessly!

 

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to join a motivated, high-performing, and product-minded engineering team. A successful candidate will make an impact by contributing across their stack, delivering with quality, and maintaining their commitment to  providing real-time insights from observability data generated by thousands of applications. They believe small, autonomous, and remote teams are the most effective way to move faster and build dynamic systems. Their highly skilled application development team works in Python,  TypeScript, Next.js and GraphQL across web applications, APIs, data pipelines, and SDKs.

 

- 6+ years experience as a software engineer 

- 4+ years with Python and related frameworks (Django, Flask, Pyramid, Rails, Spring, Laravel, etc.) 

- 4+ years experience with API & system design 

- 4+ years experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgresSQL) and their integration with applications

- Experiencing building with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.)

- A deep understanding of the things you work with, and ways to make them better 

- An attitude of continuous improvement and welcoming feedback

 

- 2+ years experience with JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js and React, Next.js, Vue, or similar frameworks 

- 2+ years experience with Kafka or other data pipeline technologies 

- Open source experience as a maintainer/core contributor of open-source projects 

- Experience with a variety of data storage systems (we use ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, Redis, Memcache and BigQuery) 

- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes 

 

- Create and improve product features, implementing full-stack solutions 

- Continuously improve codebase and systems, and participate in On Call rotation 

- Write documentation and technical specifications for the solutions you build 

- Work with an inclusive, fast-paced, collaborative group of engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver company initiatives and projects
