As a Development Support Engineer, you will help ensure Safetrust’s solutions are successfully implemented, integrated, and scaled in real-world environments. You will troubleshoot complex technical issues, guide customers through integrations, and provide critical feedback to engineering teams.


This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working across systems, and helping customers bring technical solutions to life.


Role Overview

The Development Support Engineer acts as a technical bridge between Safetrust’s engineering teams and customers.


You will support customers and partners in implementing Safetrust SDKs and APIs, troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and help ensure smooth delivery of product features and integrations.


This is a customer-facing, technically deep role that requires strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.


What You’ll Do

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues across hardware, software, and mobile applications (iOS and Android)
  • Support customers and internal teams with system integrations and deployment challenges
  • Troubleshoot interactions between devices, applications, and backend systems

SDK & API Integration Support

  • Guide customers and partners in implementing Safetrust SDKs and APIs
  • Assist with integration, testing, and debugging of custom solutions
  • Act as a technical liaison for integration partners to ensure successful deployments

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a communication bridge between Engineering, QA, Product, and Customer teams
  • Work with developers to identify, reproduce, and resolve technical issues
  • Translate technical findings into actionable insights for Product and leadership

Proactive Feature Readiness

  • Stay ahead of product releases by testing and validating new features
  • Evaluate features from a customer perspective before release
  • Ensure readiness through documentation, validation, and feedback

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Create and maintain technical documentation including SDK guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting resources
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases to improve team efficiency
  • Help standardize support and integration practices

Customer Enablement & Training

  • Act as a technical advisor to customers implementing Safetrust solutions
  • Deliver technical training sessions for customers and internal teams
  • Help customers optimize solutions within their environments

Automation & Tooling

  • Build scripts or tools to automate repetitive support and deployment tasks
  • Improve efficiency across support and integration workflows


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in technical support, development, or engineering roles
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of APIs (REST, JSON) and tools such as Postman
  • Experience working with SDKs, including implementation and debugging
  • Experience with iOS and/or Android development or debugging
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software interactions
  • Basic understanding of networking and system integrations
  • Strong written English communication skills


Nice to Have

  • Experience with embedded systems, IoT devices, or access control systems
  • Experience working with mobile SDK integrations
  • Familiarity with agile development environments
  • Hands-on experience testing hardware or electronic devices
  • Experience in identity, security, or access control solutions
