  • Maintain a smoke-free environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required.

We are a busy family living in a city loft where life moves quickly, and there is always something happening. Both parents work full-time, with a mix of working from home and frequent work travel, and our household is often juggling work commitments, school schedules, travel logistics, meals, errands, and the everyday details that keep a family running. We have three children, two who are away at school and one who is home with us; along with a beloved dog.

Our home is organized and well cared for, but we are looking for someone who can bring an extra level of structure and consistency to the day-to-day. This role is less about traditional housekeeping and more about owning the household details that fall between the cracks. That might mean resetting the kitchen after dinner, keeping laundry moving, noticing that household supplies are running low, organizing a donation bag, preparing for the cleaner, handling an errand while we are working, or making sure everything is in place before we leave for a trip.

The afternoon is where this support will make the biggest difference. A typical day might include picking up a few groceries, preparing dinner, tackling laundry or an organizational project, getting the home reset, and being available when our youngest child gets home from school. At the same time, there may be boarding-school logistics to arrange, a package to return, or a household order that needs attention. We are looking for someone who can look at everything happening in the household, determine what needs to happen next, and simply take care of it.

We are ready for the right person to become a trusted part of our routine by having someone who can take meaningful responsibilities off our plate, keep the household moving, and give us greater peace of mind.

You are naturally organized, observant, and proactive. You don't wait for someone to hand you a list — you look around, notice what needs attention, and take ownership. You are comfortable walking into a home, assessing the priorities for the day, and deciding what makes the most sense to accomplish without needing step-by-step direction.

You bring a calm, capable presence to the home. You are warm and friendly, but understand the importance of professional boundaries and discretion. You enjoy being trusted with responsibility and are comfortable making everyday decisions independently — whether that's choosing and preparing dinner, picking up household supplies, reorganizing a storage area, coordinating an appointment, or taking care of a task while the family is traveling.

You genuinely enjoy creating order and making life easier for the people around you. You might notice that the household is running low on something before anyone mentions it, see that a closet could use a better system, recognize the areas that need to be reset daily, or realize that a school-related deadline is approaching and make sure it gets handled. You think one step ahead and take pride in doing things thoroughly.

Most importantly, you are someone who can be trusted to own the role. You work well independently, stay productive whether or not a parent is home, and bring the same level of care and attention to both the visible tasks and the little details that make a household function beautifully. If your instinct is to notice the low battery, replace it, and move on with your day rather than waiting for someone to ask — you may be exactly the person we are looking for.
