About the Role
~1 min readWe are developing a next-generation multimodal AI platform capable of interpreting 3D medical imaging, clinical documents, and supporting agentic reasoning across radiology and cardiology pathways.
We are seeking an expert physician—either a Radiologist with oncology imaging expertise or a Cardiologist with advanced cardiac imaging expertise—who also understands clinical workflows, patient pathways, and hospital operations.
You will guide the clinical direction of our AI models and ensure they integrate safely and meaningfully into high-impact care pathways across oncology and cardiovascular medicine.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Provide deep subject-matter expertise in oncologic imaging (CT, MRI, PET, staging, RECIST/PERCIST) or cardiac imaging (cardiac CT/MRI, echo, structural heart evaluation, ischemia assessment).
- Define clinical reasoning patterns, reporting structures, and multimodal interpretation strategies for specialty workflows.
- Review and refine AI model outputs for clinical accuracy, diagnostic completeness, risk alignment, and real-world usability.
- Help prioritize training data needs and guide model evaluation metrics based on specialty-specific requirements.
- Map and optimize end-to-end patient workflows related to oncology and cardiology, including:
- Referral → imaging → reporting → interpretation → treatment planning → follow-up pathways
- Department coordination between radiology, oncology, cardiology, ED, OPD, and inpatient units
- Identify operational bottlenecks—triage, scheduling, image acquisition queues, reporting delays, multidisciplinary care coordination—and guide AI-based solutions.
- Advise on integration of AI tools into PACS/RIS/EHR systems, tumor board workflows, cardiac clinics, and longitudinal care pathways.
- Contribute to clinical validation studies, including reader studies for oncology and cardiac imaging datasets.
- Define clinically appropriate endpoints for evaluating AI performance in tumor staging, treatment response, cardiac function, and risk stratification.
- Ensure clinical safety, ethical standards, and hospital compliance are upheld across study and deployment phases.
- Support regulatory and evidence-generation activities for AI-based clinical tools.
- Work with AI researchers to shape multimodal foundation model capabilities and fine-tuned clinical agents.
- Collaborate with product managers to create clinician-centric workflows that reflect authentic oncology and cardiology practice.
- Guide foundational engineers on clinical constraints—latency requirements, interoperability, image fidelity, and workflow reliability.
- Provide clinical insights for user testing, deployment design, and hospital pilot programs.
- Serve as a respected clinical representative for AI-driven oncology and cardiology innovation.
- Liaise with imaging departments, cancer centers, cardiac units, and medical leadership to drive adoption.
- Present clinical perspectives at advisory boards, hospital committees, and professional forums.
- You define the clinical blueprint for AI-enabled oncology and cardiology workflows, two of the most critical domains in modern medicine.
- You help build India’s first multimodal 3D medical foundation model with direct patient-care implications.
- You influence major improvements in diagnostic accuracy, efficiency, care coordination, and treatment planning.
- Your clinical expertise directly shapes product strategy, AI model design, and real-world deployment.
- A senior Radiologist specializing in oncologic imaging or a Cardiologist with advanced cardiac imaging experience.
- Deep understanding of clinical workflows and patient flow within hospitals, including interdepartmental care coordination.
- Strong familiarity with imaging modalities central to oncology and cardiology:
- CT, MRI, PET, PET-CT, PET-MRI (oncology)
- Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, echocardiography, perfusion imaging (cardiology)
- Experience with PACS, RIS, EHR/HIS, tumor boards, cardiac MDTs, and reporting standards.
- Ability to translate clinical realities into actionable guidance for AI research and engineering teams.
- Excellent communication across clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders.
- Passion for clinical innovation and improving patient outcomes through advanced technology.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience with clinical AI validation, reader studies, or medical device evaluation.
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, DICOM standards and hospital interoperability requirements.
- Experience in workflow redesign, quality improvement, or hospital digital transformation.
- Research or publication history in oncology or cardiac imaging.
