Food Service Driver

Pick up and deliver meals from the Detroit Harbor Light location to the Monroe Harbor Light location.

• →Drive van on route making predetermined stops according to schedule
• →Load and unload meals on the van
• →Pick up and/or delivery of donated items as assigned
• →Complete daily maintenance check of van and report problems to designated person
• →Maintain cleanliness of van while on route and thoroughly clean truck after route is completed
• →Safely operate vehicle and follow all ruling road

 Additional Responsibilities:

• →Understand and work within The Salvation Army and Harbor Light Mission and Positional Statements
• →Possess an excellent working knowledge of The Harbor Light policies and procedures 

• Ability to get along with people
• Dependability
• Good communication skills
• TB Test and police clearance required
• Authorization to work in the United States

• Valid Michigan Chauffeur license and approved by The Salvation Army MVR

• Ability to adapt to rapid temperature changes and work in temperature extremes
• Exposure to smoke, steam, cleaning chemical fumes, food allergens, airborne eye, ear, nose, and throat irritants
