Meat Cutter

A Meat Cutter performs duties in cutting, displaying, packaging and selling meat.  Follows safe food handling practices and provides a high level of guest service.

• →Deliver outstanding guest service.
• →Cut, tray, weigh and package meat and some seafood for displays.
• →Follow and comply with all applicable procedures and regulations, including Weights and Measures, FDA, health and sanitation, Department of Labor, ADA, HAACP, OSHA and safe work practices.
• →Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
• →Demonstrate product knowledge; maintain awareness of new products.
• →Performs other duties as assigned by Store Leadership

• Ability to work in fast paced environment with a sense of urgency
• Ability to perform physical requirements of position
• Proper handling of knives and cutting equipment
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to inspect product for quality and freshness
• Able to work flexible schedule based on needs of store including nights, weekends and holidays
• Consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers

• 2+ years or more experience in a meat department
• Guest Service focused
• Knowledge of meat products and cuts
• Food Handler Permit

• Walking, standing, bending and stooping for 8-10 hours a day
• Push, pull up to 50lbs
• Mental and physical dexterity
• Ability to climb ladders
• Iteration of duties
• Ability to taste, smell, feel and visually inspect food
• Unassisted lifting up to 50lbs or more
• Work in varying temperatures
