Ensure effective laboratory environment. Demonstrates effective organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.

• →Prepare tissue specimens through processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and mounting for microscopic examination
• →Collect and process biological samples following strict laboratory protocols and aseptic techniques
• →Maintain accurate documentation of all laboratory procedures, specimen tracking, and patient information
• →Ensure proper handling of specimens using correct anatomy knowledge, pathology terminology, and laboratory techniques
• →Perform routine quality control checks on equipment and reagents to guarantee reliable results
• →Follow safety guidelines diligently, including aseptic techniques and infection control practices to prevent contamination

• Prior clinical laboratory experience with tissue processing or histology techniques
• Experience working in research laboratories or hospital settings preferred
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology essential for precise specimen handling
• Proficiency in laboratory procedures such as fixation, embedding, microtomy, staining, and slide preparation
• Hands-on experience with specimen collection methods and processing of biological samples
• Familiarity with gastrointestinal histology and grossing techniques a plus
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety standards, aseptic technique, and laboratory equipment maintenance
• Excellent attention to detail coupled with the ability to follow complex protocols accurately

Associate in Histotechnology or Bachelors in Biology/chemistry (Required)

Required: One year of histology technical experience in a laboratory setting.

Preferred: Experience in Gastroenterology.

HT or HTL (Preferred)

Mental/Physical Requirements: Varied activities including sitting, standing, lifting, turning, stooping and reaching.
