Senior Strategic Buyer - Nagykanizsa

Resideo is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Senior Strategic Buyer to join our team in Nagykanizsa. In this role, you’ll manage a mix of strategic and tactical procurement activities, collaborating with Resideo’ s global supplier network to ensure timely delivery of parts at optimal cost.

You’ll be part of a dynamic strategic sourcing team, overseeing a diverse range of commodities including (but not limited to) metals, castings, forgings, sustainable packaging, and various mechanical components.

Your mission will be to drive cost savings through effective price negotiations with suppliers across Europe and the Far East. You’ll work closely with the Commodity Management team across Europe, as well as local quality, NPI, logistics and planning teams, to meet the operational needs of the site.

This position offers a hybrid working model, with Mondays and Fridays designated as remote workdays with flexible working hours.

• Align with procurement policies and procedures 
• Support and execute a cohesive European and global strategy for strategic raw materials 
• Identify and develop supply sources in emerging regions, contributing to supplier base optimization 
• Deliver on annual targets including cost efficiency, quality, lead times, and inventory levels 
• Drive year-on-year supplier agreements and ensure their integration within the organization  
• Maintain strong supplier relationships 
• Collaborate with NPI Purchasing to engage strategic suppliers 
• Partner with SDE to enhance supplier quality 
• Ensure timely rollout of updated pricing structures

• Collaborating with the Engineering team to identify cost reduction opportunities

• Leading initiatives to optimize payment conditions by extending terms and minimizing outstanding payment delays

• Relevant experience in a serial / tactical buyer role within a manufacturing environment 

• Fluency in Hungarian and English 
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills 

• Experience in strategic procurement experience 
• Background in purchasing mechanical parts / components
• Familiarity with SAP

• Technically minded, with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings 

• Skilled in solving complex challenges in a structured way 

• Driven to continuously develop skills and knowledge 

• Experienced in managing and delivering projects
