We are looking for a trade compliance professional to manage import/export formalities for European Union region, and also assisting other regions including Asia Pacific. The role will include focus on import compliance but also assist with general organizational trade compliance initiatives. The candidate will join the Global Trade function within the Legal Department and collaborate cross-functionally to execute established compliance processes supporting applicable regulations.
Oversee import/export compliance policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure adherence to various countries' regulations. Regions include Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Poland, and the Netherlands in the European Union. Additional support for other markets including Australia, New Zealand, and other Asia Pacific markets.
Monitor changes in trade regulations and provide guidance to internal teams on compliance requirements.
Correspond confidently to Customs and other regulatory authorities.
Familiar with EU documents such as ATR, EUR 1, CMR, etc.
Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
Train employees in trade compliance regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with logistics, procurement, legal, sales, and finance teams to ensure smooth international transactions while mitigating risks.
Maintain records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Investigate and report potential violations, including voluntary disclosures if necessary.
- Monitor for CBAM compliance and report as needed.
- Assist with other Trade Compliance initiatives as required.
