Arch Network is building programmable, trust-minimized Bitcoin. We enable decentralized applications to execute overcollateralized financial contracts—lending, AMMs, stablecoins—directly on Bitcoin without bridges or soft forks. With native support for threshold signatures (FROST/ROAST), an application-specific VM, and an open validator set, Arch empowers developers and end-users to interact with Bitcoin natively, scalably, and securely. Arch.Network recently raised a $13M round from Pantera, Multicoin and others.

We’re looking for our second DevOps Engineer to join our small, world-class team to help run and scale the infrastructure behind Arch’s testnet, mainnet, validator network, and developer tools. You’ll work alongside our DevOps team to stress test the system, improve the CI/CD pipelines, and prepare for a high-quality mainnet launch.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to help define best practices in infra for Bitcoin’s next evolution.

  • Own the testnet: Manage deployments, debug failures, and run stress scenarios to validate network resilience.
  • Prepare for mainnet: Help prepare mainnet infrastructure to production-grade quality: secure, scalable, observable, and participate in dry runs for launch readiness.
  • Streamline builds: Improve CI/CD pipelines and the overall build system to ensure faster, more reliable dev workflows for Rust. Reduce the lag between core engineering updates and infrastructure rollout.
  • Contribute to infra design: Contribute to system design discussions and help shape a well-documented, modular architecture.
  • Level Up Observability: Help further evolve our observability stack to better understand the runtime behaviour of the individual validator nodes, testnet (and later mainnet).

Responsibilities

~1 min read
  • Manage infrastructure across testnet and mainnet environments (Docker, Kubernetes, EC2) including node provisioning, configuration, and operation.
  • Build out observability: metrics and logs from nodes, and visualize them in dashboards.
  • Maintain and improve the Arch build system and CI/CD pipeline with Github Actions.
  • Stress-test the validator network and investigate system limits and failure cases.
  • Chain monitoring - Ensure secure, observable, and reproducible environments using modern best practices
  • Collaborate closely with Rust engineers, the DevOps team, and the broader validator community.
  • Automate repetitive infra workflows and reduce operational overhead.
  • Participate in incident response and system debugging across distributed services.

  • Work hours : 11 am - 7 pm ET
  • Familiar with cryptographic systems or validator/node infrastructure in blockchain systems (esp. Bitcoin or Solana).
  • Passionate about open-source development and Bitcoin’s evolving ecosystem.
