R&I Software and Electronics Engineer

We're looking for an R&I Software and Electronics Engineer to join our Research & Innovation team. In this role, you'll contribute to multiple innovation projects, helping to investigate, prototype and mature technologies that will shape our next generation of products. 

As an R&I Software and Electronics Engineer, you will contribute to the execution of strategic innovation projects and future focused initiatives.

  You perform software studies and technical investigations around next generation computing platforms for safety and and mission critical computing platform.

• →

  You design and develop prototypes that validate new concepts and technologies.

• →

  You contribute to architecture and design activities for solutions.

• →

  You support technology roadmaps and help prepare technologies for adoption in future products.

• →

  You explore emerging domains such as graphics, AI, machine learning, communication, HMI and advanced video solutions.

  You support proposal, demo and feasibility activities for innovation programs.

• →

  You collaborate with experts across software, hardware and system engineering disciplines.

• →

  You help identify technical risks and create solutions that enable successful product development.

• →

  You report to the Research and Innovation manager.

• You hold a master’s degree in industrial sciences, computer sciences or electronics-ICT. 

• You have 5 to 10 years of experience in embedded software, electronics and complex technical challenges i.e. program graphics processing, machine learning, AI, …

• You are strong in analytical thinking and problem-solving.

• You have strong programming skills in C and Python.

• You are naturally curious and innovative.  

• You are energized by technical challenges and emerging technologies where requirements shape through exploration and discovery.

• You are enthusiastic and can collaborate with an open mind in an international team.

• You can communicate fluently in English.
