We have an exciting Truck Wash Utility opportunity in our Bloomfield Truck Wash. The Truck Wash Utility will support both transportation and truck wash operations by combining professional driving responsibilities with essential sanitation, reclaim, and biosecurity functions. Individuals in this role play a key part in efficient fleet operations and overall animal and employee safety within Live Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Clean and disinfect livestock trailers by shoveling manure and woodchips, flushing, and pressure washing with hot water.
- Unload woodchips and palletized materials from trailers using pallet jacks and skid steers.
- Operate skid steers to remove woodchips, unload pallets, and maintain floor drain pits.
- Pressure wash and disinfect trucks, mortality reclaim units, farm equipment, and maintenance equipment as assigned.
- Conduct daily inspections of skid steers and shag trucks, reporting equipment defects and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor truck wash equipment and PPE, reporting discrepancies to the Truck Wash Crew Lead.
- Operate bio-dry facilities and follow established wash schedules in compliance with company procedures.
- Drive trucks to designated locations, load and unload materials, and inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure safe operation.

Required:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence preferred.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations preferred.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
