As a Security Officer Armed Full Time Patrol in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor alarm activity, and respond to security-related concerns. • →Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• →Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• →Conduct regular and random armed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• →Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• →Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess an armed guard card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
