Senior Software Engineer, Front End

Overview 

Sedaro is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build powerful tools to model complex Aerospace simulations. You’ll have ownership of the full lifecycle, including the editor where engineers model systems and missions, the workflow tools where they schedule simulation jobs, and the 3D playback and analytics dashboards where they can explore and learn from the results.

Who We Are 

Sedaro is a simulation platform company. Customers use our cloud platform to simulate satellite constellations and connected fleets, enabling the design and operation of systems at unprecedented scale. Enabling customers to playback and visualize multiple constellations, drill down into individual spacecraft sub-systems, and then compare thousands of variations of a simulation is a significant challenge, all built on Cesium, React, and TypeScript.
We’re an early-stage company with serious traction, partnering with the Space Force and Shield AI to deliver next-gen systems, and we’re growing the team to match.

What You’ll Do 

• Design and build modeling interfaces where users define, configure, and compose complex system models 

• Develop data visualizations and analysis tools that help users explore simulation results across thousands of scenarios 

• Own workflow and job management UIs that let users schedule and monitor simulation runs 

• Extend and maintain our design system and component libraries 

• Shape information architecture and interaction patterns across the frontend 

• Establish testing practices, performance budgets, and observability across the frontend

Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience 

• 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering 

• Expertise with React and TypeScript 

• Track record of building intuitive interfaces for complex or data-rich domains 

• Experience designing and maintaining component libraries or design systems 

• Experience with frontend automated testing and performance profiling 

• Strong web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, browser APIs, HTTP)
