Overview: 

Signalink is looking to hire a Security Specialist in support of the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO) within the Army Program Executive Office for Missiles & Space (PEO MS). 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Provide administrative and clerical assistance in one or more of the following security program areas: Personnel, Information, Industrial, Foreign Visit support, and Access Control
  • Recommend methods for improving procedures and processes relevant to security management program within the IFMC Project Office’s Headquarters
  • Perform administrative functions impacting the security staff such as maintaining the calendar of events and recurring requirements, suspense dates, reference publications, and stocks of forms and supplies
  • Develop and compile statistical information for reports, charts, and records; data required to support security related studies, analysis, projects, and other administrative support requirements.
  • Prepare itineraries and agendas, programs of instruction, and aids relating to various security programs, inspections, and conferences.
  • Perform office automation work, which includes word processing, electronic mail, and/or personal computers.
  • Use standard processes, forms, and methods, to provide support to the personnel, information, and industrial security missions, to include reviewing documents, material, information, and forms.
  • Perform briefings, conducts initial security indoctrination for employees after initial or interim clearance is granted.
  • Provide general responses to queries on basic security requirements, clearances, need-to-know, safeguarding classified information, and the responsibility to report suspected security violations.
  • Assist in development and improvement of security briefings, educational, and awareness products
  • Administer Visit Authorization Requests (VAR) and access to IFMC, a secure facility.
  • Screen incoming VARs and enter data into the command database validating visitor access for the access control team.
  • Access the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) or Defense Information System for Security (DISS) to transmit outgoing and verify incoming visitor clearance message/requests.
  • Coordinate with industrial security managers and Facility Security Officers for contractor visitors.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing military and civilian personnel who are assigned or attached to the IFMC Project Office; furnishing, checking, and completing a variety of security-related forms.
  • Complete a variety of forms, documents, and tasks to obtain checks of records, Security Classification Guides, and regulations used for applying proper security standards.
  • Responsible for handling security activities with the highest degree of discretion and sound judgement.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • +3 years of Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance

Preferred Experience and Knowledge: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an applicable field
