Requirements
~1 min read- High school education or equivalent experience
- 1 year of transport driving experience preferred
- Committed to the values of initiative, responsibility, caring relationships, integrity, and innovation
- Valid CDL Class A with Tank and Hazmat endorsements
- 21 years of age according to DOT requirements
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug/alcohol test
- Physically able to drive a commercial vehicle and sit for extended periods of time
- Able to climb ladders
- Able to lift, pull, and/or push 75 pounds
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and on call as scheduled
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Perform a pre and post-trip vehicle inspections according to procedure
- →Complete all required paperwork to include pre-trip and post trip inspection forms daily
- →Enter and log all driving data into the on-board computer
- →Check all orders for proper equipment, directions, BOL’s and tickets for the correct product
- →Verify tank(s) and product type before unloading the product from the trailer
- →Check all tanks for water and notate on delivery ticket
- →Make the required gravity drop or pump deliveries at the customers’ establishments in a safe and professional manner
- →Stick tanks before and after delivery and document on customer’s ticket and/or BOL
- →Keep a clean vehicle at all times and ensure that equipment is properly stored and serviced
- →Be friendly and courteous to all customers while operating the vehicle and follow the rules of the road
- →Complete all DOT, safety, and other training as required
- →Perform all duties in a safe manner ensuring incident-free operations
- →Report any incident or accident immediately to the Transport Dispatcher or General Manager of Transportation Operations
- →Report any unsafe problems, conditions, or practices to the Transport Dispatcher or General Manager of Transportation Operations
- →Report to work on time and in approved uniform as scheduled
- →Send in all roadside inspections or citations to the Manager of Transportation Operations within 24 hours of the inspection or citation
