Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist

• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
• Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment within their scope of practice.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.
• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services.
• Apply established protocols to obtain necessary limited radiographs and/or DEXA.
• Required to set up and use all necessary diagnostic equipment for exam completion in limited general diagnostic exams.
• Positions patients for radiological and/or DEXA examinations. Produces limited radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
• Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

License/Certification:

• Requires registration as a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist in Radiology.
• Requires registration as a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist in Radiology by the State
• SimonMed Imaging requires valid CPR certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.

DRESS ATTIRE:  Business Casual or scrubs dependent on department
