BI Developer – Power BI (C-569)

This position is Remote to work with a US Company; you will require to have Citizenship or a work permit from LATAM to apply for this role.

**This is a temporary position with a one-year contract.**

We are looking for an experienced BI Developer with strong expertise in Power BI development, data modeling, DAX, and SQL to support the development and maintenance of enterprise business intelligence and reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on Power BI development with a solid understanding of large datasets, dimensional modeling, and semantic models. Experience with Tabular Editor, Tabular Object Model (TOM), Git, and technical documentation is important for success in this role.

• →Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards.
• →Develop Power BI solutions across cloud environments and, when applicable, on-premises environments.
• →Build and maintain scalable semantic models supporting enterprise reporting and analytics.
• →Develop and optimize calculations, measures, and business logic using DAX.
• →Write and maintain T-SQL/SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
• →Work with Tabular Editor to develop, maintain, and optimize tabular and semantic models.
• →Apply Tabular Object Model (TOM) concepts when managing and automating semantic model components.
• →Design and maintain effective data models using fact and dimension structures.
• →Work with large and complex datasets to support business intelligence and reporting requirements.
• →Analyze data quality and troubleshoot reporting, modeling, and performance issues.
• →Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to translate reporting requirements into BI solutions.
• →Maintain clear technical documentation covering data models, reports, business logic, dependencies, and development processes.
• →Use Git for version control and collaboration across BI development activities.
• →Follow established development, testing, documentation, and deployment standards.
• →Identify opportunities to improve report performance, maintainability, usability, and overall BI development practices.

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI development.
• Experience with Power BI Service / Cloud.
• Power BI on-premises experience is highly valuable.
• Intermediate or stronger proficiency with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
• Intermediate or stronger T-SQL/SQL development skills.
• Hands-on experience with Tabular Editor.
• Understanding of Tabular Object Model (TOM) concepts.
• At least 2+ years of Data Analyst experience working with large datasets.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and dimensional modeling concepts.
• Experience working with facts, dimensions, relationships, and underlying data structures.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Strong experience creating and maintaining technical documentation using Confluence or similar documentation platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience supporting both on-premises and cloud Power BI environments.
• Experience optimizing Power BI semantic models and report performance.
• Experience automating tabular model management using TOM.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale BI and reporting ecosystems.
• Experience with large-scale data warehouse environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD or automated deployment practices for Power BI solutions.
