Seasonal Runner - 180 House, Central London

At Soho House, a Runner plays a vital supporting role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of service between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. As a key link in the dining experience, the Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverages promptly, maintaining cleanliness and organisation across the service areas.  .  

Your main responsibility is to assist the waiting staff and make sure the member gets a superior experience. You will deliver food orders from the kitchen (or drinks orders from the bar) to members’ tables, acting as a point of contact between the kitchen/bar and the floor.

• →Bring food/drink quickly from the kitchen/bar to its respective location in the restaurants and deliver to members.  
• →Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment 
• →Provides service to and is accountable for an assigned section. 
• →Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service. 
• →Polishing cutlery ensuring they are ready for service.  
• →Preparing any additions to tables in advance (preparing lemon wraps, condiments, butter portions etc) 
• →Perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations. 
• →Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly. 
• →Maintain a spotless and pristine working environment.  
• →Attending regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings.

• 2–3 years in a similar high-end dining environment 
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge, including wine service 
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a hands-on approach 
• Confident, polished, and professional demeanour 
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills 
• Familiarity with POS systems and reservation software
