Position: Para Broker / Credit Analyst
Work Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:45 AM – 5:30 PM (Australian Time Zone)
Pay Range: TBD Market-related, based on experience
Role Overview
This role supports a high-performing mortgage broker in the Australian lending market by managing the end-to-end loan processing workflow. The primary objective is to free up the broker’s time by ensuring all deals in the pipeline are accurately assessed, packaged, and progressed through to settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Analysis & Assessment
- Review and analyse residential loan applications
- Assess Financial statements, Bank statements, Payslips, Tax returns, Cash flow, and liabilities
- Calculate borrowing capacity and serviceability
- Identify risks and structure deals accordingly
- Prepare complete and compliant credit submissions
- Package and submit applications to panel lenders
- Compile all supporting documentation accurately
- Ensure deals meet lender policies and guidelines
- Manage the loan lifecycle from initial application to settlement
- Track multiple deals simultaneously without delays
- Ensure all applications are progressing efficiently
- Flag bottlenecks or risks early
- Liaise with Brokers, Lenders and credit teams, Valuers, and Solicitors
- Follow up on outstanding conditions and requirements
- Resolve queries quickly to keep deals moving
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records
- Ensure all documentation meets compliance standards
- Adhere to Australian lending regulations and franchise requirements
- Support audit readiness and documentation quality
- Assist with client communication where required
- Collect and organise supporting documents
- Ensure a smooth and professional client experience
- Identify inefficiencies in workflows
- Suggest improvements to credit assessment and documentation processes
- Help standardise templates and submission quality
- Excellent English writing and communication skills
- Experience: 3–5 years in Credit analysis, Mortgage broking support, or Loan processing (Australian market preferred)
- Strong understanding of Residential lending structures, Serviceability calculations, and Credit policies and lender requirements. Ability to interpret financial documents with accuracy.
- High attention to detail (non-negotiable), Strong analytical thinking, Excellent written communication, Ability to manage multiple deals under pressure, Strong organisational and time management skills.
