We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Digital Project Manager to join our close-knit distributed team who reports to our CEO and lead project manager.
The Digital Project Manager works closely with our lead PM, our web designers and developers, and a range of e-commerce clients nationwide to project manage iterative website improvements, produce website migrations and full custom builds, assist clients with content management, and lead meetings that merge our strategic insights with trackable business goals. This is a job that is grounded in strong client relationships and a solid grasp of the Shopify ecosystem, and requires multitasking, attention to detail, organization, problem solving, and creativity. If you’re our Digital Project Manager, you’d have skills in communication, scoping out projects, budgeting time for yourself and the product team, project management, and a demonstrated history of Shopify ecommerce site management. You’ll be able to guide projects to success by applying ecommerce best practices while accounting for design, development, analytics, SEO, and other cross-functional needs. Ideally, you’d be proactive and curious, with a desire to evolve with a growing company in an ever-changing industry where you can make your mark.

We have a small team of 8 that helps our clients scale with smart and nimble digital marketing strategies and robust Shopify websites. Many of our clients are the designers and makers of the goods they sell. Others have unique business process challenges to solve, from wholesale and multi-channel distribution to intricate product attributes that need custom solutions. We enjoy finding ways to solve complex problems through design and digital strategy. We strongly believe in building responsive, user-friendly sites that are clean, responsive, and can scale over time as our clients grow. We have ambitious goals for ourselves and our clients, so we’re looking for strategic team members who can increase our capabilities and boost client performance.
Things that are in your wheelhouse
- Providing value and support throughout the entire project cycle by influencing the work, the clients, and the team with specific and impactful production tactics that balance innovation and practicality
- Working closely with our lead PM, CEO and clients to create clear deliverables that align with business goals
- Management of digital design production and web development from conception to launch including scoping, estimating, timelines, and directing contractors for web-based projects from custom site builds to one-off campaigns
- Digital production tasks such as organizing assets, copy, and product data imports for clients, installing 3rd party tools, and light customization of Shopify themes
- Keeping projects on track, monitoring and enforcing project constraints, identifying risks and providing contingency plans, status reports, and meeting notes
- Coordinating with stakeholders to collate feedback and oversee quality control to ensure client input has been addressed and projects are built to best practices
- Building tailored project teams and managing our external development and design resources
- Serve as a primary client contact (after onboarding and a transition period)
- Create, organize and maintain project documentation
You have-NON-Negotiables
- 3+ years hands-on experience managing and developing strategies for Shopify ecommerce projects with PM tools like ClickUp and Bugherd
- Proficiency with the Google Suite of tools, Excel, Slack, Figma, Google Analytics, Shopify, and Shopify Plus
- Experience directly and respectfully managing clients as well as large, multidisciplinary internal project teams
- Confidence in facilitating best-in-class digital project management processes, approaches, and tactics
- Understanding of and curiosity about technology and digital products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with native proficiency in English
- Attention-to-detail and strong organization skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and consistent follow through
- Experience with best practices in digital design, UX, accessibility, and digital marketing (SEO, CRO, etc.)
- Knowledge and use of media and design tools such as Photoshop
- Agency and ecommerce experience (particularly Shopify).
