Salary Range: $2,500 – $3,500 USD per month (The final offer is at the client’s discretion and depends on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.)

About the Role: As the Remote Finance Manager, you will serve as the accountable owner of the accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls for our client and all associated project entities. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be pivotal in formalizing financial structures, maintaining multi-entity general ledgers, and optimizing real estate project accounting systems. This role offers a high-impact platform to turn complex financial data into strategic insights, protect assets through disciplined financial controls, and manage capital workflows in a dynamic U.S. development environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage general ledgers across parent and project LLC entities in QuickBooks, executing month-end closes, bank reconciliations, and audit-ready workpaper preparation.

Establish and enforce financial policies, approval thresholds, and strict segregation of duties across purchasing, payments, entries, and reconciliations.

Track job costs, budgets, committed costs, and cost-to-complete metrics across active projects in Buildertrend and QuickBooks.

Oversee construction-loan draw requests, debt schedules, lien waivers, and lender covenant monitoring to ensure seamless capital flow.

Maintain a weekly rolling 13-week cash flow forecast to proactively plan for equity needs, land deposits, overhead, and vendor payments.

Produce comprehensive monthly financial statement packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), KPI dashboards, and quarterly reforecasts for leadership and investors.

Coordinate quarterly tax packages, W-9/1099 reporting, ADP payroll reconciliations, and year-end audits with external CPAs.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Required).

5+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, with direct background in residential homebuilding, real estate development, or construction job costing (Required).

Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Excel / Google Sheets, and construction operations software such as Buildertrend (Required).

Proven expertise in multi-entity accounting, WIP/percent-complete accounting, intercompany transfers, and construction draw management (Required).

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with full alignment to work standard U.S. business hours (EST) from South Africa (Required).

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or Master’s in Finance/MBA (Preferred).

Experience integrating ADP payroll systems and managing vendor W-9/1099 compliance processes (Preferred).
