As the company continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Remote Estimator to support the estimating process and help ensure restoration projects are accurately scoped, priced, and documented.
The Remote Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for water, fire, and property restoration projects using Xactimate. This individual will review project documentation, assess restoration scopes, develop comprehensive estimates, and communicate directly with clients and internal team members throughout the estimating process.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of hands-on Xactimate experience, a strong understanding of restoration or construction estimating, and excellent English communication skills. This is an immediate hiring need for someone who can quickly integrate into the company's workflow and contribute with minimal training.
Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for water, fire, and property restoration projects

Build comprehensive estimates using Xactimate

Review project scopes, photographs, measurements, documentation, and supporting information

Ensure estimates accurately reflect required labor, materials, equipment, and restoration activities

Revise and update estimates as project scopes or requirements change

Utilize Xactimate to create detailed and professionally structured estimates

Maintain accurate line items, pricing, and supporting documentation

Review estimates for completeness and accuracy before submission

Stay current with Xactimate processes and restoration industry estimating practices

Maintain organized records and documentation for each estimate

Review project information for missing or inconsistent details

Ensure estimating documentation meets internal quality standards

Coordinate with internal teams to gather additional information when necessary

Communicate directly and professionally with clients regarding estimates and project details

Explain estimating information clearly when questions arise
-
Follow up promptly on outstanding information needed to complete estimates

Maintain high-quality written and verbal communication throughout the estimating process

Work closely with project managers, operations teams, and other internal stakeholders

Support the transition of approved estimates into active restoration projects

Communicate changes or potential estimating issues proactively

Learn and utilize the company's construction management software and internal workflows
Requirements

Previous experience estimating water damage restoration projects

Previous experience estimating fire damage restoration projects

Familiarity with insurance restoration or property damage claims

Experience working with construction management software

Knowledge of restoration industry processes and terminology

Experience working directly with property owners, insurance professionals, or restoration teams

Previous experience in restoration, construction, insurance, or property damage estimating
Strong understanding of estimating principles and project scopes
High-level written and verbal English proficiency
Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with clients

Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple estimates and priorities simultaneously
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
