About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Full Stack Developer to take full technical ownership of Shopify applications for a growing app business.

This role is critical to the stability and growth of the company’s Shopify apps. The ideal candidate will have strong Laravel expertise, proven Shopify app experience, and the ability to independently take product ideas from concept through architecture, development, testing, and deployment.

This role requires someone who can operate with autonomy, strong judgment, and a high level of accountability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and maintain Shopify applications using PHP (Laravel framework).
• Integrate with Shopify REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Implement and manage OAuth authentication, webhooks, and recurring billing systems.
• Ensure compliance with Shopify app guidelines and evolving platform requirements.
• Take ownership of feature development from idea to deployment.
• Debug and resolve production issues with urgency and precision.
• Implement proper testing, logging, monitoring, and deployment processes.
• Optimize database performance and application scalability.
• Maintain clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
• Collaborate directly with the founder to translate business ideas into technical solutions.
• Potentially oversee or mentor additional developers in the future.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of development experience, including production experience with Laravel.
• Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails in live production systems.
• Proven experience building and maintaining Shopify apps, ideally in:
• Review / UGC apps (email triggers, scheduling, high-volume queues) OR
• Checkout-related apps (reliability and compliance critical)
• Strong PHP and Laravel skills, including queues, jobs, Eloquent, validation, and API integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Language requirement: Excellent English Communication Skills

Education:       Bachelor's Degree (ideally)

Experience:       5+ years of relevant development experience, with direct Shopify app experience required
