Remote | Full-Time
Reports To: Brand Marketing Manager
Working Hours: Minimum 4–6 Hours Daily Overlap with U.S. Central Time
We are a fast-growing consumer products company known for creating fun, memorable, and highly shareable products that bring personality and excitement into everyday life.
Our products are sold through major retail partners across North America, and we are investing heavily in growing our direct-to-consumer presence through engaging content, creative storytelling, and social-first marketing.
We are looking for a highly creative Social Content Designer & Video Editor who understands how to turn existing assets into content that captures attention, drives engagement, and strengthens brand awareness.
This is a hands-on production role focused on creating social-first creative assets across video, motion graphics, static content, product imagery, and marketing materials.
If you love creating content that stops the scroll, understand how modern social platforms work, and enjoy bringing products to life through motion and design, we'd love to meet you.
This is not a traditional graphic design role.
We are looking for someone who understands social media content, platform behavior, short-form video, and visual storytelling.
You will work from an existing library of:
- Product photography
- Lifestyle imagery
- Product videos
- Marketing assets
- Raw content files
Your responsibility is to transform those assets into compelling social content that feels native to each platform while remaining consistent with our brand identity.
You will partner closely with the Brand Marketing Manager, who will provide campaign direction, messaging priorities, and creative briefs.
Your job is to execute those ideas at a high level with speed, creativity, and consistency.
What You Will Do- Instagram Reels: Edit raw footage and product video into short-form content built for retention — hook frame in the first 3 seconds, pacing tied to what's actually working on the platform right now, not what worked six months ago.
- Trend translation: Spot formats, sounds, and edit styles trending across IG and TikTok and adapt them into BigMouth's voice fast — before they're stale, not after.
- Paid social creative: Build multiple hook and CTA variants per concept for Meta and TikTok ad testing. Every asset ships with a defined call-to-action and product tag or link.
- TikTok-native editing: Cut TikTok-native versions yourself — different pacing, on-screen text, and sound conventions than IG — in addition to feeding the TikTok agency clean, organized raw assets and brand context.
- E-commerce content: Build shoppable, product-tagged assets for Instagram/Facebook Shop and PDP-ready lifestyle imagery, with real category variety — not the same hero product on repeat.
- Graphics & carousels: Product-forward, brand-consistent, scroll-stopping statics and carousels for Instagram and Facebook.
- GIFs & motion graphics: Bring still product imagery to life with animation and motion.
- Photo editing: Color-correct, retouch, clean backgrounds, and prep raw product photography so it looks intentional — not pulled straight off a drive.
- Pinterest adaptation: Resize and reformat assets for Pinterest's format and audience.
- Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on social content creation and video editing, with a portfolio of platform-native work — not general graphic design, and not one-and-done polish pieces.
- Trend-fluent: You're already plugged into what's working on IG and TikTok — you don't need a trend report handed to you. You bring it to the table unprompted.
- Genuinely creative: You pitch a concept and defend it, not just three safe options for someone else to pick from.
- Fast: You can produce a high volume of content weekly — Reels, statics, carousels — without burning out the brand voice or falling into repetitive formats. This role is built for consistent, fast output, not occasional polish.
- Video editing: Expert in Premiere, CapCut, or equivalent. You create momentum and visual interest from raw or still footage without relying on live UGC.
- Motion: After Effects, Photoshop, or equivalent. Strong GIF and animation skills.
- Platform fluency: You know how a TikTok-native cut differs from an IG cut, and how a paid asset differs from an organic one — different hook length, different CTA weight, different pacing, same source footage.
- E-commerce fluency: You understand product tagging, shoppable posts, and what makes an asset PDP-ready versus social-only.
- Photo skills: Lightroom / Camera Raw to process RAW product files; Photoshop for retouching and background cleanup
- Design: Photoshop and Illustrator for clean, brand-consistent statics that don't need a second designer to polish.
- Brand voice: You naturally get humor-forward brands. You're funny without trying to be.
- AI fluency: You use AI tools to accelerate production, generate variations, and QC your own work.
- Setup: Reliable high-speed internet, a professional setup, and hardware that runs editing software smoothly. Good written English to receive and confirm briefs.
This Is Not the Right Role If
- Your portfolio is only print or static design — we need someone who lives in video and motion
- You need weeks to find your footing on a new trend — we need someone already fluent in what's working on social right now
- You need a live shoot to make compelling content — our asset library is your raw material
- You'd staple a caption onto a raw clip and call it a Reel — we need structured, edited content built to do a job, not a slideshow with a voiceover
- You bring three safe concepts and wait to be told which one — we want a point of view, not just options
- You submit work for feedback before reviewing it against the brief yourself
- You're at full content cadence across IG and TikTok, replacing what one designer used to produce — without a dip in volume during ramp-up
- First rounds of Meta content — organic and paid — produced and published with minimal revision cycles
- The CGO is spending less time on content execution and trend-spotting because you've got it
- Your content is unmistakably BigMouth — and feels culturally current, not six months behind
Applications without a portfolio link and the written answers will not be reviewed. Show us how you think, not just what you've made.
To Apply — Read Carefully
- Portfolio link with at least 3 Reels/short-form edits and 2 static or motion graphic pieces (no portfolio = not reviewed).
- In 3–4 sentences: How do you create engaging, high-energy content when you DON'T have live footage to work with —only existing product shots and raw clips? Walk us through your approach.
- In 2–3 sentences: Show us a social trend or format from the last few weeks (any brand, any platform) that you think
