As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex trading data into actionable insights, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving strategic decision-making. Your work will directly influence trading performance and business growth.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that impact trading performance.
- Provide quick and accurate insights for real-time decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with the trading team to enhance strategies and operations through custom data analysis.
- Develop, maintain, and improve dashboards using Business Intelligence (BI) tools to track trading performance and operational KPIs.
- Work closely with traders to refine reporting needs and deliver scalable solutions.
- Implement and run A/B tests to measure the performance of trading strategies, algorithms, and operational processes.
- Interpret results to provide actionable recommendations for optimizing system performance.
Requirements
~1 min read- Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Computer Science.
- Basic understanding of software development principles.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
- Experience with Python for data manipulation and visualization.
- Strong knowledge of probability and statistics, including experimental design and inference.
- Understanding of concepts, workflows, and methods for managing large datasets using analytical and quantitative approaches.
- Experience working with time-series data.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience in math competitions.
- Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Exposure to financial or trading data.
- Familiarity with market mechanics, trading strategies, or concepts in quantitative finance.
We store data in ClickHouse and S3, use Python (pandas, numpy, etc.) and BI tools (Metabase) for analysis, and employ the ELK stack and Grafana for working with logs.
