The role involves managing audits, maintaining compliance frameworks and records, and working with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate regulatory and operational risk.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage and oversee compliance audits and regulatory reviews.
- →Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation and records.
- →Coordinate with internal teams to meet compliance obligations and deadlines.
- →Liaise with external advisors, auditors, regulators, and service providers as required.
- →Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- →Ensure compliance with financial crime prevention requirements, including AML/CTF measures.
- →Oversee regulatory reporting, license renewals, and statutory submissions.
- →Support Board and senior management with compliance reporting and governance matters.
- →Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy, and information governance requirements.
- →Support corporate social responsibility, employment equity, and transformation initiatives where applicable.
- →Identify compliance risks and drive corrective actions.
- Proven experience in a compliance or risk management role within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and governance principles.
- Experience managing audits, compliance programs, and regulatory reporting.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with AML/CTF compliance.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and influence across teams.
