~1 min readWe’re looking for a Mid-Senior Social Media Manager to lead social strategy and execution across Sporty, with a strong focus on media and broadcasting and performance-driven social media.
You’ll be responsible for making our social presence feel fast, local, relevant and high-impact, while ensuring content drives both community growth and business outcomes.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership: you’ll collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Brand, Design, Content, BI and Country teams, combining creativity with sharp performance thinking.
Responsibilities

Build and execute social strategies, aligned with global brand guidelines and priorities

Own the social calendar around major football moments (EPL, UCL, LaLiga, AFCON, World Cup qualifiers, etc.)
- →
Translate football narratives into daily content that wins attention and drives conversation
Content & Community Growth
- →
Create and publish content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Telegram, etc.).
- →
Manage community engagement: comments, DMs, escalations, sentiment and moderation.

Execute real-time/reactive content around match days, breaking news, controversies, memes and trends.
Brand Growth

Support Sports Media storytelling through Sporty formats: highlights-style narratives, football culture content, commentary-driven moments, and personality-led publishing.

Help scale repeatable content series with strong retention and community hooks.
Creators, Partnerships & Local Relevance

Work with influencers, creators, tipsters and sports personalities to drive reach and credibility.

Support paid + organic campaign activations with marketing teams.
- →
Spot local relevance opportunities across Spanish-speaking and global football audiences.
Reporting & Performance

Track KPIs: reach, engagement, follower growth, CTR, conversions, retention, and sentiment.

Deliver weekly/monthly reporting with insights and next actions.
- →
Run testing frameworks to continuously improve formats, hooks, timing and distribution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinate with designers, editors, content creators and country teams for speed + quality.
- →
Support junior teammates when needed with feedback and guidance.
- →
Keep workflows clean, efficient and scalable.

3–6+ years experience in social media (ideally sports media or football content)

Strong understanding of sports betting culture and what drives community + conversion

Deep football knowledge + love for the sport

Excellent platform instincts across TikTok/IG/X/FB/YouTube Shorts

Confident using analytics to improve performance and decision-making

Strong stakeholder management and ability to move fast in a high-output environment
