Grounds Keeper - $20.00/hr - 1st Shift

The Grounds Keeper is responsible for ensuring all areas of the facility such as but not limited to: maintenance, production, and shipping, restrooms, lunchroom, driveways, parking areas and grounds surrounding the facility to ensure a safe work
environment.

• →Attend all scheduled safety, department, and company meetings as required.
• →Follow and enforce company safety polices and safe work practices at all times to ensure safety of self and others
• →Maintain clean inside and outside work areas
• →Empty barrel and trash containers
• →Maintain office floors, restrooms, and break rooms   
• →Perform other janitorial services as needed
• →Operate equipment and tools for seasonal activities as necessary.
• →Inventories cleaning supplies and notifies appropriate personnel when re‐orders are needed, being mindful of time allowance needed in ordering process. (different than SPS)
• →Submit detailed and accurate work orders for any equipment issues as occurrences happen.

• Time split between office environment and warehouse/plant or yard.
• Working in a yard or warehouse/plant within OSHA guidelines; conditions may be heated and/or unheated, dusty and noisy; steel‐toed boots required daily. 
• Job is performed under some temperature extremes 
• Ability to stand, walk, or be mobile for up to 8 hours per shift 
• Wear proper PPE at all times (as described in company policy)

• Valid driver’s license 
• 18+ years old 
• Basic literacy for reading instructions and using hand tools 

• Proven experience operating equipment (weed eater, and street sweeper, forklift) 
• Time management

• Valid driver’s license Preferred

• 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday - Friday
• Open-air warehouse 
• Exposure to the elements 
• Dirty working conditions 
• Moderately stressful and constantly changing work environment 
• Lots of walking and standing – up to 8 hours a day 
• Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of material up to 51lbs.
