Local & Multi-Location SEO Focus

QUICK SUMMARY

Hybrid Work Schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri in office. Wednesdays are typically work-from-home, though occasional in-office needs may arise.

Who We're Looking For: A curious, confident, and proactive SEO strategist who brings ideas to the table, asks the right questions, and isn't afraid to say what they think even when the news is hard to deliver.

Reporting To: You will report to the Creative Director.

Scope: This role focuses heavily on local and multi-location SEO strategy across client accounts, with primary responsibility on a high-traffic Healthcare / Senior Living website (100K+ monthly visits). You will not just execute, you will drive strategy and bring recommendations proactively.

WHO WE ARE

The whole reason for our existence is to grow ourselves in order to grow those around us. This means exploring, failing, and trying again. We believe that through trial and error, the best ideas are born. This is why we promote Fearless Failure, allowing each team member to eliminate apprehension and go all in on presenting a new idea, even if it doesn't end up successful.

We believe in radical transparency, a way of communication that puts everything on the table. Everyone has the opportunity and responsibility to provide feedback and speak freely, no matter who presented the idea.

Our environment is built on the fundamentals of safety and trust, not comfort. Comfort leads to complacency, and complacency leads to dull ideas. Through safety and trust, we allow each team member to present ideas knowing they will be heard.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a full-time, experienced SEO Manager with 3–8 years of hands-on SEO experience and a strong background in local and multi-location SEO. The ideal candidate has worked at a corporate level managing SEO across multiple locations, think a franchise brand like Hungry Howie's, a healthcare network like American House, or a large retail chain like CVS and knows the nuances of local search inside and out.

This is not a content-only or execution-only role. We want someone who can look at a 100K-visit-per-month website and tell them exactly what they should do next. You'll be the expert in the room.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and execute local SEO strategy across multi-location client accounts, including Google Business Profile (GBP/GMB) optimization, Yelp, and other directory/citation management

Conduct and present SEO audits with clear, actionable recommendations, including both technical and content-driven SEO opportunities

Proactively bring strategic recommendations to partners and the internal team; you should be the one initiating the conversation about what to do next

Develop and optimize location pages with geo-targeted content, local keywords, and service-area relevance

Manage NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency and citation management across all relevant platforms

Implement and monitor schema markup for local businesses (location, hours, services, etc.)

Stay current on AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and AI-driven search changes, and bring forward relevant strategy adjustments

Track, analyze, and report on SEO KPIs including local pack rankings, organic traffic, CTR, and conversions, frequency varies by client

Identify trends and present recommendations for evolving strategies before the client needs to ask

Collaborate with CX/project managers, content team, and vendor partners as needed

Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and bring forward adoption recommendations where appropriate

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Deep expertise in local SEO for multi-location businesses (you've done this at scale)

Strong understanding of Google Business Profile optimization, local pack ranking factors, and citation management

Familiarity with AEO / AI engine optimization (emerging, but expected awareness)

Solid command of technical SEO: site architecture, schema markup, crawlability, page speed

Proficient in SEO tools: Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Moz, BrightLocal, or similar

Strong analytical skills — you're comfortable in data and can translate it into clear recommendations

Excellent communicator, both written and verbal; you can explain complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders

High attention to detail, resourcefulness, and self-motivation

Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously without dropping the ball

Receptive to feedback and solution-minded (if something isn't working, you don't just flag it, you propose what to do about it)

Strong research skills including a healthy skepticism of AI-generated content and the ability to verify information independently

Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

EXPERIENCE

3–8 years of SEO experience (minimum 3 years required)

Demonstrated experience managing SEO for multi-location businesses at a corporate or agency level (e.g., franchise brands, healthcare networks, retail chains)

Hands-on experience with Google Business Profile management across 10+ locations

Proven track record improving local pack visibility and organic traffic

Experience with citation/directory management platforms

Some exposure to AEO and AI-driven search strategies preferred

WordPress experience (2+ years preferred)

Experience with Wrike or similar PM software is a plus

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

Come in with ideas. We want someone who tells US what we should do next, not someone who waits to be asked

Communicate early and often. If you're unsure, ask. If something's off track, say so with a proposed solution

Be solution-minded. Don't just identify problems, bring the fix alongside them

Record your time accurately and daily in Wrike, noting specifics of what you were working on

Manage your own workload, meet deadlines, and be highly respectful of time and punctuality

Collaborate openly and embrace teamwork while taking full ownership of your work

Lean in. We want doers who take initiative, not people waiting to be assigned

COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE

Compensation is commensurate with experience:

3-5 years experience: $50,000- $70,000

In addition, every team member receives annual profit sharing beginning on day one. You'll be 20% vested your first full year, increasing annually until fully vested at year five. Distributions are paid as a lump sum in December. This is above and beyond your salary.

BENEFITS

Medical plan options with SSDM contributing to premiums, plus dental and vision coverage

401(k) with company match up to 3% of contributions is available after 90 days

12 days PTO annually, available after 90 days of employment

Paid Holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day

Hybrid work schedule, most Wednesdays are work from home
