We seek an educator who brings experience, enthusiasm, and skill in teaching Spanish with a commitment to thoughtful curriculum design.

This position does not come with school provided housing.

Responsibilities

You’ll be a teacher, mentor, and co-creator of learning. Your role will include:

  • Teaching one section of Spanish III, which meets (during regular 5-day weeks) on Mondays 8:00-9:05 a.m., Tuesdays 12:55-2:00 p.m., and Thursdays 11:15 a.m.-12:20 p.m. (Note: the schedule will shift during 4-day and 3-day weeks.)
  • The opportunity to also cover a section of Spanish I may be possible, depending on the candidate’s interest and availability and the School’s needs.
  • Giving meaningful, timely feedback that challenges and inspires
  • Collaborating with department colleagues
  • A degree in Spanish or a related, interdisciplinary field is essential
  • Native or near-native language skills in Spanish and English
  • Some experience teaching at the secondary level (2+ years preferred)
  • Ability to connect with diverse learners and teach inclusively
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Comfort with educational tech tools (Google Suite, etc.)
  • A warm, close-knit community of students and colleagues
  • Access to campus facilities, from the fitness center to nature trails
  • A chance to grow professionally
