We are looking for a Senior AML/CTF Compliance Manager to join our Risk & Compliance team in Sydney.

Financial crime is a critical part of building trust. As Stake continues to grow across Australia and New Zealand, you'll lead the evolution of our AML/CTF program, ensuring it's robust, scalable and ready for what's next. You'll be our appointed AML/CTF Compliance Officer, helping the business navigate an evolving regulatory landscape while enabling us to move quickly with confidence.

This is a hands-on leadership role with broad influence across the business. You'll work closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Legal and senior leadership to embed practical, effective controls into the way we build and operate. You'll also play a key role in shaping how automation and AI help us deliver stronger outcomes with greater efficiency.

You'll join a high-performing team that values ownership, sound judgement and clear thinking. You'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, strengthen our financial crime capability and help build a compliance program that's designed for scale. We work hybrid spending 3 days in our beautiful, dog-friendly Sydney office.

• Build an AML/CTF program that's trusted by regulators, scalable for growth and embedded across the business.
• Lead Stake's response to regulatory change, turning new obligations into practical improvements that strengthen our controls.
• Shape how financial crime risk is managed across new products, markets and customer experiences, enabling innovation without compromising risk outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Technology and Operations to design controls that feel seamless for customers and practical for teams.
• Lift the capability of the business by making complex regulatory requirements easy to understand and act on.
• Use automation and AI to reduce manual effort across the financial crime program while maintaining strong governance and oversight.
• Build trusted relationships with regulators, executives and the Board through clear communication, thoughtful advice and high-quality reporting.
• Develop a high-performing financial crime function that continuously raises the bar as Stake grows.

• You've led AML/CTF or broader financial crime programs within financial services or fintech and enjoy building as much as maintaining.
• You're comfortable operating as a strategic advisor while staying close to the detail when it matters.
• You know how to balance strong risk management with commercial thinking, helping teams move quickly without losing sight of customer outcomes.
• You're an exceptional communicator who can translate complex regulatory requirements into practical decisions across the business.
• You're excited by the opportunity to use technology, automation and AI to improve how compliance operates.
• You thrive in fast-moving environments where ownership is high, priorities evolve and every person has meaningful impact.

• Acted as, or deputised for, an appointed AML/CTF Compliance Officer.
• Led an independent AML/CTF review or regulatory remediation program.
• Worked across both Australian and New Zealand AML/CTF frameworks.
• Built financial crime capabilities within a scaling fintech or high-growth technology business.
