Data Engineer Lead

Data Engineer Lead:

• Lead data engineering team to build and support big data pipelines and the production of Data Products on Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

• Assist in the definition of solution architecture that ensures solutions are built within consistent frameworks.

• Support Data science/analytical workloads in data preparation, feature extraction by reshaping, wrangling and blending enterprise data sets and ad hoc data sets into data assets that support exploratory data science.

• Perform required data validation.

• Lead resolution activities for complex data issues.

Telecommuting permitted up to 20% per week.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay Range: $178,069 - $215,900 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, plus 8 years of related work experience (of which 5 years must be progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience); or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, plus 6 years of related work experience.

Must have 3 years of experience in using Data Warehousing and Spark.

Must have 3 years of experience in debugging troubleshooting and performance tuning.

Must have 2 years of experience in logging and monitoring tools, following best practices in enterprise deployments.

Must have 2 years of experience in shell scripting and enterprise security, following best practices in enterprise deployments.

Must have 2 years of experience in building and enhancing coding practices, patterns, and implementation processes.

Must have 2 years of experience in data platform implementation using Azure.

Telecommuting permitted up to 20% per week.

Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
