Torch Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Machinist/Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys challenging prototype and low-volume work rather than repetitive production.
This position works with engineering drawings and CAD models to program, set up, prove out, and machine complex precision parts using modern CNC equipment.
- Program, set up, and operate DMG Mori Mill-Turn machining centers
- Program with Mastercam
- Develop machining strategies, tooling, workholding, feeds, and speeds
- Machine complex prototype and low-volume parts
- Troubleshoot programs, setups, tooling, and machining processes
- Work independently from drawing/model through finished part
Requirements
~1 min read- U.S. Citizenship
- Associate Degree, or 2 years of formal technical training or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years CAM programming experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Ability to read drawings, GD&T, and CAD models
- Ability to independently program, set up, and prove out CNC equipment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- DMG Mori Mill-Turn experience strongly preferred
- Haas and Mazak experience is a plus
- AS9100 experience preferred
