~2 min readSteel and Pipe Supply is hiring CDL-A OTR Flatbed Drivers to haul steel products from our Catoosa, Oklahoma facility.
This is a regional position offering excellent earning potential and home time. Drivers could be out up to four nights per week, but typically are out only 1–2 nights per week.
PAY
- $3,000 Sign-On Bonus
- $1,500 after 30 days
- $1,500 after 60 days
- $1,480 WEEKLY MINIMUM for OTR drivers*
- Top earners make $90,000+ a year
- Paid weekly
- $0.59 per mile
- $15.75 per stop
- $15.75 per trip
- $15.75/hour for delays and other qualifying hourly activities.
- $52.50 layover pay paid as an expense, not taxable income.
- Drop-and-hook paid as one stop: $15.75
Weekly minimum requires drivers to check in and check out with their supervisor daily for any additional work assignments before leaving.
What you'll Do:
As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods using a flatbed truck, or tractor and flatbed trailer. This role
involves loading, securing, and unloading cargo, as well as adhering to transportation regulations and ensuring the integrity of the
transported items. CDL drivers play a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain by delivering a variety of goods, including oversized
or unconventional loads
Primary Responsibilities:
• Safe operation of tractor/trailer
• Secure cargo using straps, chains and other securing devices to prevent shifting during transit
• Complete shipping and delivery paperwork accurately and on time
• Compliance with all regulations
• Report any accidents, incidents, or safety violations promptly
• Maintain communication with supervisor, sales and customers as required
• Equipment maintenance, required pre and post trip inspections
• Maintain all daily records, HOS, DVIR, proof of deliveries and fuel receipts
Required Background, Competencies & Expertise
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements
• Valid Medical Card
• Excellent driving record
• Familiarity with relevant transportation regulations and safety standard
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry and secure heavy and oversized loads
• Knowledge of securing different types of cargo, including oversized loads
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- 2 years of CDL driving experience
- 1 year of flatbed experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
We know being home matters.
Our drivers are HOME WEEKENDS and typically have only 1–2 overnight stays per week. Depending on business and customer needs, some weeks may require up to four overnight stays.
