Our platform - a mix of technology, people, and analytics - supports providers at the point of care, delivering real-time patient information, activating practice staff, and empowering providers and care teams with incentives that reward the work they are already doing to keep patients healthy. Using the Stellar App, our web-based, point-of-care tool; practices receive a simple checklist of recommended actions that support the best quality care. The VP, Product Management owns the active roadmap, planning cycles, and delivery execution for Stellar’s product squads, encompassing areas like Total Cost of Care, EHR and Integrations, and Data Platform. This is the role that turns Stellar’s product strategy into a reality, through consistent, high quality shipping, building and leading a team of 4 Product Managers, and setting the bar for how Stellar plans, prioritizes, and delivers against its highest-value bets in value-based care.

Reporting to the SVP Product, this role has full ownership of squad-level strategy and execution — the SVP sets company-wide product vision and drives external-facing growth; this VP makes sure the organization underneath it delivers. It’s a build-and-run mandate: shape how a 4-squad product org plans, hire and grow the PM bench behind it, and be the standard-bearer for what disciplined, high-velocity product management looks like at Stellar.

This role also acts as the connective tissue across the broader organization, partnering closely with Design, Engineering, Product Marketing, Implementations, Operations, and Growth to maximize the impact of our development efforts.

• Be the management layer between the SVP Product and Stellar’s 4 independently run squads — own day-to-day delivery and act as the primary escalation point for all 4 PMs

• Hire, coach, and retain a high-performing team of Product Managers — running performance reviews and career development, and building a bench Stellar can count on beyond this roadmap cycle.

• Hold every PM on the team to a high bar: size work against real capacity before committing, dig into root causes instead of guessing at fixes, make explicit tradeoffs rather than build wish lists, stay aligned with engineering and stakeholders when priorities shift mid-quarter, read their own OKR metrics instead of just reporting status, and know enough to question an engineering estimate or a vendor claim.

• Own capacity tracking and execution measurement across all squads. Proactively call out risks and work with the PMs to mitigate them.

• Build and run the roadmapping process — cadence, format, OKR-to-project traceability. More broadly, establish and improve necessary team processes, while also retiring unnecessary ones.

• Coordinate with Design and Engineering to ensure we ship our roadmap consistently and with the highest quality.

• Coordinate with Product Marketing, Ops, and Growth to drive awareness and adoption of new and future capabilities.

• Coordinate with Technical Implementations, Enterprise Analytics, and DevOps leadership so their work stays aligned with the 4 product squads

• Develop and share POVs on the work we’re doing at Stellar, and be willing to disagree and commit if necessary

• At least 12 years of relevant career experience in product, tech, healthcare, or some combination thereof, with at least 6 in product management, with career growth and additional responsibilities added along the way

• At least 5 years of people management experience, including managing a multi-person Product Management team — hiring, coaching, and performance management, not just individual PM execution.

• Experience running a roadmap or capacity governance process across more than one team.

• Comfortable holding PMs accountable to a plan without owning the deep domain expertise of every squad they run.

• Comfortable operating without formal authority over adjacent functions — able to build working agreements with other depts and escalate conflicts appropriately.

• Healthcare or health-tech background a plus, particularly value-based care — several squads’ work is EHR-integration- and VBC-specific.
