Responsibilities

→Design & Modeling: Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings using CAD software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
→Analysis & Simulation: Perform engineering calculations, stress tests, thermal analyses, and fluid dynamics simulations.
→Prototyping & Testing: Build and test physical prototypes to evaluate performance, troubleshoot flaws, and validate designs.
→Production Support: Oversee the manufacturing process, coordinate with vendors, and ensure designs are optimized for fabrication.
→Documentation: Write technical manuals, prepare design reports, and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOM).

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Years of experience: 3-5 yrs experience.
Software: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools.
Technical Knowledge: Strong foundational grasp of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and materials science.
Problem Solving: Advanced analytical skills to diagnose machinery failures and implement root-cause fixes.
Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work alongside electrical engineers, project managers, and suppliers.

Full Time

Oak Ridge, TN. Onsite only.
