Role:

Under limited supervision, assembles, troubleshoots and maintains all mechanical/electrical equipment and systems. Performs general maintenance, renovations and repairs of machines, equipment and other company’s property. Works closely with production team and contractors on maintenance matters.

Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday 8:30pm - 7am
  • Installs, maintains and repairs all mechanical and electrical systems and all machineries at the plant.
  • Provide support to production in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Complies with all necessary manufacturing codes, regulations and standards i.e. GMP, HACCP, WHIMIS, MSDS etc.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration activities. Maintain an updated record of PM.
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve maintenance operations
  • Actively promote health and safety in the workplace.
  • Completes Maintenance reports and logs as required
  • Performs all tasks as per recommended job methods, procedures etc. as well as the preventive maintenance of plant production machines/equipment.
  • Oversees installation, operation, maintenance and repairs of machines and equipment are ensure that they function according to specifications.
  • Investigates equipment/machine failures and faulty operation and perform required repairs.
  • Performs preventive maintenance to production and common areas.
  • Performs and assists on other maintenance duties as required.
  • Use power and hand tools and equipment in an efficient manner and maintain them in a clean operating condition.
  • Complete work orders as assigned by Maintenance Manager and/or Senior Management/ Chief Engineer.
  • Must have a BC Electrical Trade Ticket
  • 4th class Power Engineer Ticket (Preferred)
  • Preferably with electrical/mechanical experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong preventive and troubleshooting ability.
  • Able to pass a fit test mask and TRST supplied by Company.
  • Must be flexible to occasional change in hours to cover urgent needs.
