Medical Assistant / Correctional Health Technician

The Medical Assistant/Correctional Health Technician performs duties within the Medical Assistant scope of practice under the supervision of licensed medical personnel. Responsibilities include patient intake, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, assisting with examinations and treatments, administering injections and immunizations, performing venipunctures and laboratory testing, maintaining clinical supplies, scheduling appointments, and completing accurate electronic medical records documentation. The role also includes administrative duties and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant training program as outlined by Arizona regulations.
• Current N95 Respirator Fit Test documentation.
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience.

• Current BLS/CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) through in-person training
• Tuberculosis (TB) Test Documentation
• Hepatitis B Vaccination Documentation
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Vaccination Documentation
• Varicella (Chickenpox) Immunity/Vaccination Documentation
