DHL Supply Chain is seeking an Implementation General Manager (Data Center) to lead new start-up and implementation activities supporting our Technology sector and Data Center customers. This role will provide strategic and operational leadership throughout the launch of new data center supply chain operations, from initial implementation and start-up through stabilization and transition into a fully operational environment.
Direct data center experience is required. Candidates must have experience supporting data center operations, infrastructure deployments, or supply chain/logistics operations within a data center environment. The ideal candidate will understand the unique demands of data center customers, including mission-critical service requirements, high-value technology assets, inventory accuracy, security, time-sensitive deployments, and operational continuity.
Candidates must have General Manager-level experience or Senior Operations Manager experience with full P&L ownership and a proven track record of leading complex operations and developing high-performing teams. Strong customer-facing experience is required, including the ability to partner directly with customer leadership, manage expectations, resolve operational challenges, and serve as a trusted operational partner throughout implementation and ongoing operations.
This position requires a highly adaptable leader who can successfully manage complex start-ups, establish scalable processes, build a strong site culture, influence cross-functional teams, and drive performance across safety, quality, service, inventory, cost, and productivity. Tier 1 Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is required. Approximately 80% travel is required.
Required Qualifications

- Proven P&L management experience with demonstrated financial and operational accountability
- Experience leading complex, high-value, mission-critical operations
- Proven experience building and developing high-performing teams and establishing a strong site culture
- Experience with Tier 1 WMS solutions such as Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or comparable enterprise systems
- Strong customer-facing experience managing customer relationships, expectations, and operational performance
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading greenfield/start-up operations or new facility implementations
- Experience supporting large-scale or multi-site data center implementations and deployments
- Experience managing high-value technology equipment, critical inventory, or technology infrastructure
- Strong background in continuous improvement, operational excellence, and process standardization
Requirements
~2 min read- Maintain ownership of implementation success through achievement of planned operating volumes, labor productivity targets, service levels, quality metrics, financial objectives, and customer commitments.
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive implementation plans, including key milestones, critical path activities, resource requirements, dependencies, risk mitigation strategies, and customer deliverables.
- Identify gaps, risks, and implementation challenges within the operating model and coordinate resolution with Engineering, Finance, IT, HR, Operations Leadership, and Customer stakeholders.
- Develop site startup staffing strategies, organizational structures, hiring plans, onboarding schedules, and training programs required to support launch and ramp-up activities.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.
- Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong collaboration.

- 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience, required
- 2+ years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment, required
- Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics, preferred
- Experience working with Tier 1 WMS solutions (Blue Yonder, Manhattan, comparable enterprise systems) required
- Strong understanding of operational readiness methodologies, startup governance, risk management, labor planning, organizational development, and performance stabilization processes.
- Proven ability to diagnose operational performance gaps during startup and implement corrective action plans to achieve planned productivity, service, quality, and financial objectives.
- Lead and influence matrixed implementation teams, driving accountability for execution of assigned deliverables despite limited direct reporting relationships.
- Create and embed a high-performance culture aligned with DHL values and customer expectations by developing frontline leaders, fostering employee engagement, promoting continuous improvement, and establishing a strong foundation for long-term operational success.
